Powers

Magisteria operates on a multi-pronged approach to in-game powers.
Canon powers
Characters begin with a percentage of canon powers. The game started at 0% and is currently around 35%. [*The mod will endeavor to keep this number updated.]
Note that this percentage is for characters considered very powerful in their canons.
If a player is unsure about a particular canon ability and how it translates or whether it would translate, please do not hesitate to ask the mod. Even some powers like “miracles” can have in-game use cases.
To give an idea of power scale, at 50%, a Fate/ Servant could use their NP 2x, or an HSR could do a 2x Ultimate. Magisteria’s first Boss Fight consisted of PCs being winded after one use of their respective Ultimate attacks.
Therefore, 50% means they could do 2x. This is just to give an idea of the power scale.
In-Game Powers
For the magic side, those with a pre-existing canonical affinity for certain abilities or general power clusters will find themselves hewing especially well in-game. So in the elemental rune challenges, those with elemental affinities performed well.
The mechanic of Synthesis can be used to cooperatively create powers with these characters or act as support units to them. Characters who have mastered certain forms of magic or acquired runes can engage in ability transfer or juice others via Bios.
For the tech side, those from tech-centric canons will hew more quickly to Magisterian tech. Native programming languages and habits around technology will be more quickly deciphered by those from advanced worlds.
Each character can pick sub-paths of study within their broad discipline.
Can my character join both sides?
No, the idea is to mix and match to accomplish goals.
Blessings and Bling
These are Event-Given Powers. Blessings from spirits, victory quest bling, and special powers to down formidable game foes as the PVE scales. These can be magical, technological, neutral, or a cross-over.
